JetLiteJetLite airlines, formerly Air Sahara, is an airline based in New Delhi, India. The JetLite airline was established on 20 September 1991 and began operations on 3 December 1993 with two Boeing 737-200 aircraft as Sahara Airlines.

JetLite is a low cost airline based in Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi India. The airline offers a range of both domestic and international services from India including regular flights to Kuala Lumpur, Maldives and Singapore. Domestically, the airline operates scheduled services to Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Cochin, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Indore, Srinagar, Nagpur and Jammu. The airline started international services in 2004 from Chennai to Colombo.

Although Jetlite is a ‘value based airline’, it offers in flight catering services and a frequent flyer programme called Jet Privilege. Until recently, the airline was known as Air Sahara but was taken over by Jet Airways in 2007 and renamed JetLite.

The premier Jet Airways acquired Sahara Airlines in April 2007 for a consideration of Rs. 1,450 core, which makes the combined market share of the Indian Aviation Industry to 32 percent. Rechristened as Jetlite, Air Sahara is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Jet Airways India Pvt Ltd. Jetlite / air sahara's main base is Indira Gandhi international airport with hubs at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad, and Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai.
